This past Saturday, November 4th, I participated in a reading of a wonderful play entitled THE END OF CINDERELLA by Lynn Niederman, which is about three women working through their issues in a psychodrama-like setting. This enables them to heal and transform their self-images in a postive way. It is a poignant look at women in society and the expectations (self-imposed and societal) that they deal with on a day-to-day basis.

I got word today that SOLIDARITY won the Mayor's Award at the Heart of Gold Film Festival in Australia. I was a Casting Assistant on that project.

Carnivale of the Dogs
Wednesday, November 1, 2006, 09:31 AM - Animal Communication
Just finished two more Carnivale of the Dogs with Commerce Bank!!! What fun! I did one in Mamaroneck, New York and another one in Westport, Connecticut! Many darling dogs came up - dressed to the nines in their various Halloween costumes! Prizes were given for "scariest" costume, "funniest" costume, etc. I was there doing readings. There was a caricaturist, a dj, animals up for adoption, and vendors selling their wares (organic dog food, outfits, etc.). It is always a pleasure to participate in these events and I thank Commerce Bank for booking me!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Love, Light & Miracles,

Cynthia

Just checking in...haven't posted in awhile as I have been working hard on this website. This site still has not officially launched as more is being edited and added. Keep checking back!

Commerce Bank has booked me for two more Carnivale of the Dogs as their "Paw Reader." I will be in Mamaroneck, New York Saturday, October 21, from 11 am - 3 pm and in Westport, Connecticut the following Saturday, October 28. I had a blast doing their Carnivale in September in Philadelphia. These events are a lot of fun for both you and your dog(s)!!! They have a caricaturist, a talent show, costume party...and I am there doing readings!!! Come on by and check it out if you live in any of these neighborhoods!

There is a good chance that I will be taping two episodes of ALEXANDRA'S PSYCHIC EYE in January. It is shown on local access television. Once I get more information, I will post it here!

Don't forget to sign up for my newsletters!!!

Stay tuned!

Acting News
Tuesday, August 15, 2006, 09:51 AM - Acting
Out of my last five or six auditions, I was offered two roles and received call-backs for two others.

I played a newscaster in JACOB, an independent film written, directed and produced by Philip Buiser. Even though I ended up on the cutting room floor (3 out of the 5 newscasters got cut out of the film so I won't take it personally - ha!) it is a very important project. It is about missing minority children and the lack of media attention they receive. Here is a press clipping from the website:

"August 1, 2006—Jacob, a film project about missing minority children and press coverage inequity, received the June 2006 MySpace User’s Choice Award sponsored by Aquafina.

One of four projects nominated in the monthly contest, the Jacob trailer garnered the largest number of votes from a MySpace membership of more than 100 million internationally. The award honors the Jacob team as the “filmmaker(s) you most want to see more from.”'

Check out the website http://www.jacobthemovie.com. They need financial support and there is an opportunity to donate to aid the search for missing children.

I also assisted with the casting on an independent film entitled SOLIDARITY, written, directed and produced by Nancy Kiang. This was an entry in the Long Island International Film Expo and in October will be seen at the Heart of Gold International Film Festival in Australia.
