JACOB (Short Independent Film I Worked On As An Actress)

I played a newscaster in JACOB, an independent film written, directed and produced by Philip Buiser. Even though I ended up on the cutting room floor (3 out of the 5 newscasters got cut out of the film so I won't take it personally - ha!) it is a very important project. It is about missing minority children and the lack of media attention they receive. It won the June 2006 MySpace User's Choice Award sponsored by Aquafina. One of four projects nominated in the monthly contest, the Jacob trailer garnered the largest number of votes from a MySpace membership of more than 100 million internationally. The award honors the Jacob team as the “filmmaker(s) you most want to see more from.” They need financial support and there is an opportunity on their website to donate to aid the search for missing children.'

I assisted with the casting on SOLIDARITY, an independent film written, directed and produced by Nancy Kiang. It won the Mayor's Award at the Heart of Gold International Film Festival in Australia and was an entry in the Long Island International Film Expo.
